The average lake trout caught on Big Sandy Lake weighs nine to 10 pounds and measures 28-29 inches or greater. In Ontario, a “master angler” lake trout is 30 inches, so it’s common for even first-time lake trout fishermen to see their names on our annual trophy fish lists.

This was our first time to Pine Cliff Lodge and by far our favorite compared to the other resorts we've tried in Ontario. The fishing was great, which included many Northerns, Smallmouth in the 17 to 19-inch range, Perch, and 3 Lake Trout in the 29 to 32-inch range - all released except the Perch to help preserve this gem. The center console boats are amazing compared to the typical boats you find at Ontario fishing lodges.
